Continuing to push, some new material I am looking to load up in my tablet are the following three books:
Game Design Workshop: A Playcentric Approach to Creating Innovative Games, Fourth Edition by Tracy Fullerton. I’m hoping this will help me recognize what to look for when designing my game, of course this is just a starter book, but game design can’t be overlooked.
An Introduction to Unreal Engine 4 by Andrew Sanders, looking to help supplement the Udemy course that I am doing, hoping to get more insight on the unreal engine blueprints.
3D Animation for the Raw Beginner Using Autodesk Maya 2e by Roger King, knowing how to make custom assets to a certain level can really help. Maya is the software of choice for Unreal and knowing how to use these tools can take you a long way.
Ofcourse no one is reading this…but I got to start somewhere! Welcome to Lolliesoft Studios devlog, a long way to go and this is just the beginning. As an indie game developer I’m working through the course from Udemy called Unreal Engine C++ Developer: Learn C++ and Make Video Games, so far it is very informative. Working at it every chance I get, trying to get some foundation going, looking to be mocking a scene and true developing by mid-March. It’s all about putting the work and how bad you want to be successful in anything you do in life, this is no exception! Till later peeps.
